Youth Exchange

The youth exchange "Soul on canvas" will take place in Cyprus from 24th of October till 1st of November 2024, 9 days (including travel dates). The carefully chosen venue is the Hylatio Tourist Village in Pissouri (www.hylatio.com.cy), which we trust based on previous good experiences of past successful project implementations. Besides the high quality standards of the venue offered, such as a well equipped working room, wide outdoor area, a pool, restaurant with traditional food, space for night activities and intercultural nights, its proximity to a beautiful beach will further enhance the art guided expression workshops, providing an inspiring and tranquil backdrop for self-expression and reflection.

To maintain some natural flow of the project and establish a good group energy, the project will begin with fun, engaging icebreakers and teamwork activities to help participants bond and feel comfortable in the group. In order to enable the participants to connect with the local culture and surroundings, we will organize an outdoor city silent hunt.

Since we want a greater visibility of the Erasmus+ program and the importance of the Youthpass, there will be open workshops for the public that will provide a chance to introduce participants to the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ program, highlight the significance of Youthpass, and dive into the eight key competencies.

A blend of hands-on skill-building workshops, including painting, sculpture, and creative writing, will empower participants with expressive abilities and creative expressions techniques. Activities such as "Expressive Arts Circle" will stimulate discussions and reflections on the emotions, themes, and personal insights conveyed through the artwork, promoting dialogue and connection among participants. In addition to this, there will be some informational, practical and theoretical workshops and presentations on understanding and processing emotions, equipping participants with valuable insights into the emotional aspects of art and artistic expression. Cultural exchange activities will facilitate the exchange of customs, traditions, and culinary experiences, nurturing cross-cultural appreciation. The pinnacle of the project will be reached through the local exhibition, which would not only showcase the participants' creative achievements but also serve as a platform for fostering a deeper artistic connection and spirit among them. It will provide a unique opportunity for participants to collaborate on presenting their artwork to the local community, allowing them to express their shared experiences and emotions through their creations, thus strengthening the artistic bond within the group.
